Honey peanut butter, double sided butter oven toasted thick white bread, roasted banana and jalapeño slices, roasted blackberry and jalapeño slices, crispy thick cut bacon, Ruffle chips, flake sea salt.

Two versions, same build, different fruit.

Sweet, salty, spicy, crunchy. Crispy outside, layered inside.

  1. I like the experimental vibes here. This week a made, and really enjoyed, a brioche bun toasted with a schmear of cream cheese and stuffed with pickles red onion and jalapenos, topped with just a smidge of truffle hot sauce.

  2. the banana you used is a regular banana, right? not a plantain? im asking because the plantains are super tasty when fried/roasted like this, but funnily enough, ive never had a roasted banana, but i gotta say, im inclined to try this, since its not the first time ive seen this combinations.

For example, theres a place in Baja California, Mexico, that makes pizzas with ham, pineapple, roasted banana and cherries, never had it, but people swear by it

Seriously though, “Sweet, salty, spicy, crunchy. Crispy outside, layered inside.” is pretty much the definition of my heaven, both of these look amazing, and now i’m hungry.

I’m 9 weeks pregnant and this photo made me dry heave.

Which doesn’t mean it wasn’t delicious for you, op!

  5. This is what r/stonerfood should look like! That sub is so disappointing.

    OP sandwiches look killer!

It’s definitely a peanut butter sandwich…just an elevated one that I may be inclined to try 😌

  8. Looks good! Might I recommend experimenting with sweet plantain next time – very nice texture when fried. 😉

  9. There’s a burger place here that does peanut butter, blackberry jam, bacon, and jalapeños and life has never been the same. I need that.

  10. I mean it’s definitely a peanut butter sandwich…. It’s on bread and there’s peanut butter….

All these things together shouldn’t work but it sounds like it definitely should. I think what sold me was the jalapeños for the crunch and spice, I’ll def have to try this one day
